Bonnie and Michael Martin first started biodynamic gardening in 1992. Michael, who was a Waldorf teacher at the time, also worked as a garden designer and gardening consultant who used biodynamic methods and preparations for his clients as well as for his family. In 2003, the Martins bought a small farm in Belleville, Michigan and Bonnie apprenticed at a local CSA farm. They started their first CSA the following year. In 2016, Bonnie and Michael moved to what is now Stella Matutina Farm and rejuvenated their CSA initiative the following year.
